Magic Mate

Who we are

Two people building Magic Mate

A former Twitch streamer and his channel's moderator, brought together by one idea: building what streamers were missing.

Jimmy

aka WeeFuZ

A Twitch streamer from 2018 to 2023, now a developer and co-founder of Magic Mate.

  1. 2018

    First streams

I trained in aeronautics, then started working at Airbus as an aircraft mechanic. Alongside that, I'd always wanted to get into making content, and streaming on Twitch above all. In 2018 I finally had enough money to buy my first gear, and I started my first streams.

  2. Meeting Hervé

Hervé and I met on Twitch, back when I was starting out. We got on, he became a moderator on my channel, and we quickly started doing things together. He built Fortnite maps, and I brought my community onto them to test his concepts live. Every time, a new map and a new viewer-game concept, all handmade: we had a blast, and so did the chat.

  3. 2020

    Streaming full time

In 2020 I left aeronautics to stream full time. I joined Gaming Campus to learn more about making content, grow my network, meet people and take part in events.

That's when I hosted two editions of A-live Event, a charity event that brings Twitch streamers together for the Analgesia foundation, which works with people living with chronic pain.

  4. Valorant and the Weecup

I mostly streamed FPS games, with a long stretch on Valorant. Hervé and I also ran several Weecup tournaments on Valorant with French esports teams, and I cast the events myself.

  5. 2023

    Becoming a developer

Those years taught me a lot about making content, and they led me to a simple conclusion: it was hard to turn into a job steady enough to live on. So in 2023 I retrained as a full-stack developer.

  6. Today

Today I work full time as a full-stack developer. On my time off, I build Magic Mate with Hervé: the app itself, and our socials too.

I love making things that help people. Streaming and making content were my passion for years. Today it's development, which has become my job. Magic Mate brings the two together: the tool I wish I'd had when I was streaming, made for everyone just starting out.

Hervé

aka Ekoh

Moderator on Jimmy's Twitch channel since 2018, now a developer in the media industry and co-founder of Magic Mate.

  1. 2018

    Twitch moderator

In 2018 I met Jimmy on Twitch and became a moderator on his channel. We quickly started doing things together, like viewer games on the Fortnite maps I was building.

  2. 2020

    First steps in development

In 2020 I started studying software development and built my first scripts and bots for Jimmy's channel and Discord.

  3. 2024

    Developer in media

In 2024 development became my job: I build tools for the media.

  4. 2026

    Launching Magic Mate

In 2026 Jimmy and I launched Magic Mate: his experience as a streamer, my work as a developer, and the same wish to give streamers the tools they were missing. We've come full circle: we met on Twitch, and Twitch is what we build for today.

Where it all started

We met on Twitch in 2018. Then we both left Twitch for other things. Today we're back, together, to help streamers who are where Jimmy was when he started out.
